Divine Intervention School was established in October 2005 by retired missionaries R. Zochhawna and BC Chami. For ten years it was based in Luangmual, Aizawl, but in 2015 it relocated to a new purpose-built premises in Zonuam. The new building is spacious with a large hall, light classrooms and a safe place to play away from the road. Today with the joint effort of its hardworking teachers and the wisdom of the board members, the school has been able to earn the reputation of being one of the best, in terms of both academic and extra-curricular life. It has consistently seen excellent results in the MBSE exams.
The school is well-equipped with a library and science facilities. The students excel at all forms of competitions at local and state levels, whether in quizzes, spelling, writing, art or singing. The annual sports week is also one of the highlights of the year.
The school has deeply Christian roots and regularly shares these values to the children through devotions, Scripture classes and occasional visiting speakers and groups. It places great importance on the theme taken from Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ The school is non-denominational and welcomes children from all faiths or none.
The school is also easily commutable with a school bus service connecting the different areas of the city.
